Ray's Road Projects

Our May Fundraiser featured two projects that needed to be done at Ray’s Road. Repairing an aging water system and filling potholes on the driveway. Our descriptions of the projects moved one guest to offer a generous gift, specifically targeting the above mentioned projects.

Water System

Initially, our project started with replacing a few filters, adding an additional water tank, and upgrading the electrical of the water system. However, upon further inspection, and wanting to do the project right, we shifted the priority to upgrading the entire water system. To do this, we had a full scaled water analysis done on the water and measured water usage at Ray’s Road. Based on the information on the results, the entire system needs to be upgraded, by rebuilding the ozonators, replacing the filter cartridges, replacing the circulatory pump, repairing the chlorine injection pump, and clean the existing water tank. Quite a project!

Driveway Potholes

The driveway of Las Viviendas at Ray’s Road has not been attended to in years. From years of use, potholes dot parts of the parking lot and the driveway. Because of the very dry year we have experienced, multiple contractors have advised us to wait for rain before working on the driveway, as the ground is very hard. We are currently working on this project.
